The St Kilda offers you quality accommodation catering for families couples and senior citizens. We have 6 letting rooms and a family area consisting of 3 rooms with private facilities sleeping 17 people ( doubles family, twin and singles).
We are ideally situated between the famous tower and the exciting pleasure beach. We are just over half way along Alexandra Rd. A tram or bus ride into the town or into Lytham St Anne’s. The tram is just a short walk away to either Waterloo road or Crystal road and the bus at the bottom of Lytham Road.
TRAVEL AND PARKING
By train to Blackpool South station Blackpool South is the nearest station to Alexandra Road we are approx 10 min walk on a fairly level ground, although this is the nearest station it is very slow and the train stops at every station.
By train to Blackpool North Station. This station is the nearest station to the town centre. It is approx 30 min walk to Alexandra Road. It is advisable to take a taxi this should cost around £5.00.---£7.00. This the most popular of the 2 stations.
By Car We have no parking but do have on street parking. We do have an agreement with a local lock up secure car park approx 10 min walk This can be booked on reservation although may be booked on arrival but availability is not guaranteed.
By Aeroplane to Blackpool International Airport. The airport is approx 45mins walk but we would recommend a taxi the cost is usually £8.00.---£12.00.
ARRIVAL
Check in time is 2pm unless by prior arrangement, It is advisable to park on the street across the rd from the St Kilda
There are 3 steps to the front door and a hand rail the door bell is approx 1m high
Reception is located in the bar half way along the hall assistance bell on the bar door stencil 1m high
All corridors are carpeted and well lit day and night
We offer assistance with luggage etc
DINING ROOM
Dining room is located at the far end of the hall on the ground floor this is carpeted throughout
6 tables are laid with cloth table clothes and set. Seating area is without arms
Limited space for wheelchairs during busy periods
A mix of self serve and waited tables are serviced throughout breakfast and dinner
LOUNGE
The lounge is located nest to the front doors on the ground floor this is carpeted throughout
HALL STAIRS AND LANDINGS
Our bedrooms are set out over 3 floors and are accessed via stairs.
We do not have a lift.
Corridors to all bedrooms are carpeted and well lit
1st floor 12 stairs up to 1st floor then 3 stairs going to room 1,2,3,4,&5
2nd floor 12 stairs to small landing then 3 stairs to rooms 11,12 & family area
BEDROOMS
Bedrooms are on 3 floors and accessed via stairs.
Corridors to bedrooms are well lit day and night
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the hotel
All bedrooms are carpeted and en-suite floors are vinyl
Rooms have fixed heating
Rooms equipped with TV and welcome trays with kettleor teasmaid
Iron boards are located outside rooms 3 and room 6
All rooms are equiped with hairdryers and irons
BAR
Access to the bar is at the bottom of the stairs on the ground floor
Bar is carpeted throughout and fully lit
5 tables and 3 stools without arms
Side seating without arms covers most of the wall area
Bar is open at the discretion of the owners and offers alcoholic soft drinks.
Smoking is not permitted in this area
PUBLIC AREAS
All areas are well lit and maintained
Security lighting is located on all floors should there be a need to evacuate these will illuminate
L2 fire alarm system as been installed for your safety fitted with sounders and heat detection
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the building
Please smoke outside the front door on the small patio area
